Dear list members,

our network of core facilities, the "Microscopy and Image Analysis
Platform"  (https://miap.eu <https://miap.eu/>), is organizing the
second workshop about Open Application Development (OAD) for ZEN (blue
edition).

The 3-day workshop from 15th to 17th of October will be for newcomers,
beginners and experienced users of the OAD interface. However, we expect
the participants to have a solid background in microscopy and basic
background in programming languages / scripting. The workshop is heavily
supported by ZEISS with 3 product managers and software developers
teaching on site. This is a unique chance to get in contact with the
developers to discuss and influence future developments.

Currently, we are finalizing the program and are actively looking for
2-3 international speakers, who could contribute with their expertise
and results in OAD usage to this workshop.

Our website
https://miap.eu/miap-events/miap-workshops/2018-10-miap-zeiss-oad-workshop/
  shows  all relevant information.

MIAP will cover travel costs to Freiburg (Germany) including economy
flight, train, hotel and meals for the speakers. Additionally, Freiburg
will be a perfect location to visit in lovely October as well as the
surrounding areas of Black Forest, Switzerland and France (Alsace).

If you are interested to attend as a speaker, please contact me (details
below) or Tobias Wernet, who is organizing the workshop, ASAP.

For those who like to attend the workshop as a trainee, the registration
will be soon opened. A separate announcement on the list will follow
once registration started.

Best regards
