We are delighted to announce that Janelia's Optical Interest Group (OIG) will host a new lecture series partnering with the Australian Biomedical Group (ABG). The ABG consists of six Universities across the Australian continent. The OIG-ABG Educational Lectures<https://www.janelia.org/content/oig-abg> will specifically focus on Education in Optics & Technology, Optics & Biology, and Optics & Disease. Each lecture contains the presentation and dedicated Q&A session. The lectures will be open to all Janelians and Australian Biomedical Groups (ANU, University of Adelaide, UQ, UWA, UNSW, Monash, and Garvan). Furthermore, the recorded presentations will open to the public afterward on HHMI's YouTube channel<https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqwpOkZ9dxzKUjBx3dyaqjv6igKhGvAOG>.

The OIG has a new landing page on Janelia.org<https://www.janelia.org/content/optical-interest-group> from which we link to our two main external events: the OIG-EMBL<https://www.janelia.org/node/65736> seminar series in partnership with the EMBL in Europe and the OIG-ABG<https://www.janelia.org/node/66030> educational lecture series in partnership with the Australian Biomedical Group (ABG).

We will kick off the OIG-ABG lecture series with Bill Lemon's talk about "Live Imaging with Simultaneous Multi-View (SiMView) Light-sheet Microscopy" on March 23rd at 5 pm (ET) / 8 am (AET).
