Hello! I'm new to this forum/list so I thought I'd introduce myself before asking a question.
My name is Shane and I run a small microscopy facility (mostly confocal) in a London university. I frequently refer new trainiees in confocal microscopy to online sources of information and I hope that a few of our users will come here.

So, my question: We are doing some extended (24h+) time-lapse experiments in a heated chamber with an inverted microscope but we are losing the image after a couple of hours due to oil loss. At the moment we're using the standard Zeiss immersion oil (Immersol 518F) but it seems that it may be too low viscocity at this temperature (fine for short term experiments). I wonder what oils other people would reccomend? I can't find any data on the viscocity of immersion oils.
