Position: Product Manager Life Science Imaging Products Department: Marketing Reporting to: Senior Product Manager Type: Permanent, full-time, salary Location: Tucson, AZ The Product Manager for Life Sciences Imaging products at Photometrics will be responsible for the entire range of Photometrics cameras applicable in light microscopy applications such as low light level fluorescence imaging, bio-luminescence, etc. and other non-microscopy applications such as photo-documentation. He/She will be responsible for the P&L of the products. You will be responsible for defining and positioning current and future products. The Product Manager will act as the Marketing interface between Sales, Engineering and Production to determine market needs and define those needs in such a way that will result in appropriately specified products. You will be responsible for market analysis, estimating needs and demand, defining market size and using such data to create a document describing the product, its life cycle and it contribution to the company during the estimated life cycle. You will be key in the entire Product Life Cycle from conception, product launch and all the way through to product obsolescence. This Product Manager should have an understanding of CCD imaging technology (hardware and associated software) as well as the applications to which the technology will be applied. Excellent communications skills are required in order to coordinate with Engineering, Sales and Marketing Communications to define the go-to-market strategy. You will also be involved in training of Sales personnel to help them understand the product positioning and key benefits to the customers. You will also need to communicate and interact with key customers in the field to insure proper specification, pricing and performance of the products. Requirements: Knowledge of the technology Bachelors degree or equivalent required, post-graduate training a plus Understanding of the biological science/life science market Ability to work simultaneously on many priorities that may change frequently Domain experience with imaging applications in cell biology or related life science discipline is highly desirable.
