Hi All,
We are seeking candidates with expertise in confocal imaging for an FAS
position on the West Coast.
Our client is a leading provider of high end instrumentation for drug discovery
and life science research. This is a great organization with a positive team
culture, well established product line and excellent management and support
team.
Position Title: Field Application Scientist, Confocal – Western Region
Territory: CA, WA, OR, ID, HA, CO, MT, NV, NM, UT, WY, AZ, AK
Base Location: San Francisco, San Diego or LA
Responsibilities:
- Present seminars/workshops and conduct instrument demonstrations
- Conduct new instrument installations and provide on-site customer training
- Proactively seek out new sales business and assist assigned sales
representative in closing orders
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend
specific products and solutions.
- Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in
order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction.
- Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
and resolve any complaints.
Qualifications:
- BS in life science discipline
- Confocal, wide-field, live-cell and/or digital imaging experience required
- Previous FAS or technical sales a plus; will consider scientists from the
bench or imaging core lab with the desire and aptitude to transition to a
customer facing role
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Self motivated
- Extensive travel required
Relocation assistance is not available, however, they will consider candidates
interested in self-relocating to the Bay area or So Cal.
Total compensation in the ballpark of $100,000 - $110,000 (base plus bonus),
company car, and excellent benefits.
