Higher Research Scientist - Optics for Biological Microscopy

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is one of the UK's leading science facilities and research centres. It is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate standards, science and technology available.

We currently have a vacancy for a physicist with a strong optics background within our Biotechnology group. Working in a friendly interdisciplinary team of biologists, chemists and physicists, you will apply your expertise in optics to develop improved imaging and microscopy techniques for use in biological and medical research and create mathematical modelling tools to describe light propagation in tissue.
