Job Summary The Applications Scientist is a key member of the company team. You will provide both internal support for the ongoing R&D and product commercialization activities of Double Helix Optics, and support for collaborators and customers in the use of Double Helix Optics products. Home base location is flexible. Key Job Responsibilities: • Technical product expert with primary role in support of sales and customer support of company’s 3D imaging line of products. • Cultivate positive customer relationships and act as a high-level customer interface. • Explain complex technology details, give in-depth technical presentations, and represent the company at trade conferences. • Provide product demonstration, installation and training to existing and potential customers. Translate customer needs into workable solutions. • Provide performance and product feedback to team for continuous product innovation. • Work with engineering and customers to solve product-related issues and problems. • Manage collaborator relationships. • Consult with collaborators and customers on scientific research, sample preparation and imaging activities. • Prepare samples and collect imaging data for the purposes of ongoing R&D and commercialization activities. • Create publications on 3D imaging and scientific uses in collaboration with external researchers. • Willingness to travel Qualifications: • Ph.D. degree in Biology, Biophysics, or related field, plus 3+ years of industry experience • Hands-on experience with sample preparation for fluorescence studies of biological samples • Experience with single-molecule biophysics is preferred • Experience with super-resolution light microscopy is preferred • A highly self-motivated and a solid team player with excellent oral and written communication skills • Eligible to work in the United States If you are looking for an opportunity to work with an emerging market leader recognized for their innovative and path-breaking 3D imaging technology and you are looking to grow your career as part of a growing young company want to be part of a growth, this may be the right job for you. |
