Intelligent Imaging Innovations, Inc. (3i) is a market leading manufacturer of widefield and confocal microscopy workstations and software for multi-dimensional imaging.  3i specializes in providing turnkey solutions for such applications as confocal microscopy, FRET, FLIM, ion ratio imaging and 4D imaging.  3i continues to develop cutting edge solutions with a focus on microscopy in the life sciences. 3i was founded in 1995 and provides an energetic and diverse corporate culture.  3i has offices in Denver, Santa Monica and Goettingen, Germany as well as field personnel.

3i is currently seeking an applications scientist to assist with sales and marketing our products in the eastern USA.  The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in cell biology, immunology, microbiology or other life science. Sales experience in microscopy is desirable, but not required.

Required skills include:

·         Self-starter with ability to work with minimal direct supervision

·         Highly organized with attention to detail

·         Familiarity with deconvolution and confocal microscopy

·         Familiarity with image processing and analysis software

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Team-oriented

·         Ability to use Windows and MacOS operating systems

·         Willingness and ability to travel domestically

Some of the responsibilities for the applications scientist position include:

 

·         Principle point of contact for sales leads generated for  territory

·         Finding new leads in territory

·         Coordinating and  performing hardware and software demonstrations in territory

·         Setting up and packing demonstration equipment on-site for demonstrations

·         Working with product mangers on advance equipment demonstrations

·         Accurately entering lead information into database and keep lead file current

·         Generating quotations for potential customers

·         Advising current customers of new product releases

·         Attending relevant trade shows and participate in staffing the exhibit

·         Attending imaging courses as industrial faculty and assist in the courses

·         Installing systems and training customers in territory

·         Performing follow-up visits and training with customers in territory

·         Participating in sales, marketing, and development meetings

·         Closing sales leads and finalizing sales

 

The successful candidate will undergo extensive sales and product training in our offices as well as at customer sites.  3i offers salary plus travel reimbursement, health insurance, dental insurance and a health club membership , as well as car and home office allowances.  Employees will also be eligible for 401(k) benefits after 1 year of employment.
