3i is seeking an optical engineer to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This is a full-time position and offers a comprehensive benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience.
3i is a leading producer of advanced microscopes for biomedical research. Founded in 1995, it produces a wide range of microscope systems, incorporating a number of optical and optomechanical technologies, including light sheet microscopes based on Gaussian and Bessel beams as well as optical lattices, multiphoton excitiation, computer-generated holography, temporal focusing, and adaptive optics.
The position is responsible for designing precision optical systems for research microscopes and collaborating with a team of engineers and scientists to see multiple, diverse projects through from conception to production.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics with an emphasis on optics required
- More than five years of relevant design experience required
- Advanced degree in electrical engineering, optical engineering or physics preferred
