Take this link to learn more! http://www.andor.com/microscopy-systems/dragonfly THE ROLE • Generate, qualify and manage all sales leads, prospects and new customer accounts. • Strengthen existing customer and channel relationships and develop new business relationships within the defined territory. • Determine sales strategies and goals for products in your region. • Identify new potential customers for e-shot campaigns and trade shows. • Setup, organize and demonstrate systems based products to key decision makers. • Execute on Sales strategies and goals for products in your region & support and develop key research contacts that lead to sales. • Support Third Party Resellers and Channel Partners through on site, web, phone and customer facing training. • Assess Customer Special Request requirements, recommend the most appropriate solution & evaluate products and service offerings in terms of manufacturing and the customers technical needs. • Conduct workshops, seminars or focus groups as required. THE PERSON • Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent experience in a life science discipline required. • Typically between 3 and 5 years’ experience in sales involving highly technical products or extensive research/laboratory experience required. • 3+ years’ experience using fluorescence microscopy and/or confocal microscopy for biological research required. • Customer focused, motivation & drive and has a positive attitude that fosters a pro-active ethos in the rest of the team and department. • Good communication & interpersonal skills. • Team-oriented, methodical with attention to detail. • Ability to travel at least 60% of the time with 40-50% of that time being overnight travel. International travel also required. • Fluent in all Microsoft Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. • Industry knowledge: willing to acquire and maintain knowledge of full Andor product range and know where they fit in the market. • Well-developed and demonstrated presentation skills. • Regular attendance is an essential job function. • Prior experience in making technical presentations. • Is flexible, does “the right thing” and spends time understanding and meeting customer needs. • Takes on challenges willingly and in an assured and confident manner. Highly Desirable Attributes: • Prior experience selling or experience with confocal and/or EMCCD microscopy systems preferred. • Location or relocation within Chicago or Houston a big plus for Midwest territory.
