please forward to anyone who might be interested, Scientific officer:
The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is one of the highest
ranked scientific research organisations in the world. The Headquarters
Laboratory is located in Heidelberg (Germany), with additional sites in
Barcelona (Spain), Grenoble (France), Hamburg (Germany), Hinxton near
Cambridge (UK), Rome (Italy).
The Advanced Light Microscopy Facility at EMBL Heidelberg (ALMF)
https://www.embl.de/almf offers a collection of state of the art equipment
and image processing tools to support in-house scientists and visitors in
using light microscopy methods for their research. In collaboration with the
Electron Microscopy Facility the ALMF also offers a service in correlative
light and electron microscopy.
For service provision in laser scanning and super-resolution microscopy the
ALMF has a vacancy for a scientific officer to support users of the facility
in all aspects of a light microscopy experiment. He/she will also
participate in the set-up, testing and running of light microscopy equipment
in collaboration with the industrial partners of the facility. He/she will
participate in the organisation and teaching of courses on light microscopy
techniques for in house scientists as well as those participating in
international training courses.
