We have a vacancy at the UK Dementia Research Institute, University College London for a Research Scientist, Microscopy.

https://ukdri.ac.uk/centres/ucl> covers the journey from the patient to the laboratory and back to the patient with improved diagnosis, biomarkers and candidate therapies put to the test.
We are seeking an energetic individual who is passionate about high-resolution microscopy techniques and their impact for the process of scientific discovery. The ideal candidate understands the necessary groundwork required in managing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a fast-paced, collaborative imaging facility in an internationally leading neuroscience environment. The post holder will oversee all operations of this newly established imaging core and manage the growing number of research users. The position integrates resource management, best practice in operating commercial and tailor-made microscopes, training of personnel to the correct and safe use of the latest equipment and imaging software, administrative responsibilities, and expert advice on experiment planning.
