The Center for Advanced Microscopy (CAM) and Nikon Imaging Center (NIC) at Northwestern
University in Chicago is looking to hire a new Light Microscopy Specialist with extensive
experience in image acquisition and analysis.  The individual should hold a PhD in a relevant
field and have experience with fluorescence microscopy imaging modalities such as confocal
and/or super resolution microscopy.  Proficiency with image analysis using established
software packages and the ability to create customized image acquisition and analysis
workflows is essential.

CAM is the microscopy core facility for the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern
University in downtown Chicago.  We currently consist of five members of staff who provide
training, support and assistance for light and electron microscopy to a wide user base.  CAM
includes one of the nine elite worldwide Nikon Imaging Centers and we maintain a large
cadre of instrumentation for sample preparation, image acquisition and image analysis.
Areas of current growth in the facility include live-cell fluorescence microscopy, tissue and
intravital imaging, super-resolution microscopy, and correlative light and electron
microscopy (CLEM).
