One postdoc position in the biological applications of super-resolution microscopy is available in the College of Optical Science and Technology at Zhejiang University (ZJU).
The project will be based in ZJU-Sunny Photonics Innovation Center, and involves developing the next generation of super-resolution microscopy. Candidates will apply their expertise in biology in an interdisciplinary laboratory.
The ZJU-Sunny Photonics Innovation Center develops super-resolution microscopy to push spatial and temporal resolution beyond the capabilities of current technologies. The lab further applies it to address a diverse set of biological questions. Please see

The advertised positions are for at least 2.5 years. The recruited person will be supervised by one of the following professors: Dr. Xu Liu (刘旭), Dr. Cuifang Kuang (匡翠方), or Dr. Xiang Hao (郝翔). The person who can pass the post-contract qualification shall be directly promoted to the associated professor. We offer competitive postdoc salaries and benefits (a pretax income of CNY 350,000 per year or equivalent).
Responsibilities involve:
• Apply super-resolution microscopy for the cutting-edge biological researches.
• Train and support users of these instruments where necessary.
Required qualifications:
• We seek a young and ambitious postdoctoral fellow with a molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or biophysics PhD degree and proficient experience.
• Experience in mammalian cell culture, fluorescence labeling, and confocal imaging is required.
• The ability to work in a multidisciplinary research team as well as effective communication and writing skills and a good mastery of the English language are essential for a successful selection.
• Expertise in super-resolution microscopy (STED, PALM/STORM, SIM) and analysis is of significant added value.
