We currently have two really exciting job opportunities available at Newcastle University, UK:
1. A permanent quantitative microscopy staff scientist position at the Centre for Bacterial Cell Biology, to collaborate on advanced microscopy and quantitative image processing with world class bacteriology labs. We are looking especially looking for a biophysicist/ advanced microscopist/ image analysis expert.

2. A 2 year Wellcome Trust funded post-doc position in my lab using live cell single molecule microscopy to discover fundamental physical principles of bacterial growth and division. We are looking for someone with experience in any of these areas: bacterial cell biophysics, single molecule tracking or super-resolution microscopy. Experience in bacteriology is not required.
