The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day financial management and the long term financial sustainability of the service. The candidate should have a proven track record of running successful imaging facilities in an academic setting. Salary: £40,792 - £48,677 per annum Closing date is 5 August 2019 at 5pm. Note that the facility will relocate next year to purpose built rooms in a brand new building and will service an extra ~300 researchers, it will therefore expand significantly. 1. Advert for Head of High Content: search for job 048482 on https://www.vacancies.ed.ac.uk/pls/corehrrecruit/erq_search_version_4.search_form We are seeking an independent and motivated scientist to lead, develop and provide high content screening (HCS) assays for the MRC Centre and the wider LF campus. The postholder will work independently to utilise and manage the Operetta screening platform. He/she has the exciting opportunity to work across CRUK-funded labs and the wider campus to establish in a coordinated manner cell-based phenotypic assays that can be exploited in studies of normal and tumour-derived stem cells (neural, liver and blood lineages). Also the postholder will be involved in quantitative tissue analysis. Although you will be based at the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine, we are also seeking somebody who can also act in a strategic role to establish co-ordinated screening efforts with other groups at the Edinburgh Cancer Research Centre. The role is grade Ue08 and attracts an annual salary of £40,792 to £48,677 for 35 hours each week. This post is available on a fixed term basis until 31 March 2022.
