We have a 10 years old LSM700 and the 488 laser is dying. I know that the old laser is a Furukawa / FITEL Blue Fiber Laser Module 488 nm HPU50212 (10mW). I contacted Zeiss and they suggested to install an Upgrade Kit Laser line 488 (Zeiss reference 000000-2187-940) at a what I think a very high price. This is a Lasos laser of the same characteristics but they did not tell me the model. Does any of you have any info about this upgrade? A company has suggested us to install a Cobolt 06-01 Fiber Pigtailed with 30mW but they are not sure if it could be possible to control it with the Zen Zeiss software. They suggest to contact Zeiss and see if they can install it. We just like to exchange our laser (as it is fading away) saving as much money as possible (our budget is very limited) and we wonder if there are alternatives. what would you suggest? I would appreciate any expert opinion in this issue. many, many thanks Enrique -- Dr. Enrique Martin-Blanco Instituto de Biología Molecular de Barcelona CSIC Parc Cientific de Barcelona Baldiri Reixac 10-12 08028 Barcelona Spain Phone: +34-93-4034973 Fax: +34-93-4034979 e-mail: [hidden email] |

Might be worth dropping them an email. <http://uod.ac.uk/sig-home> Dr Alan Prescott, FRSB Senior Lecturer, Dundee Imaging Facility School of Life Sciences, University of Dundee DD1 5EH +44 (0)1382 344884 | [hidden email] On 18/06/2019, 12:46, "Confocal Microscopy List on behalf of Enrique Martin Blanco" <[hidden email] on behalf of [hidden email]> wrote: ***** To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy Post images on http://www.imgur.com and include the link in your posting. ***** Hi, I am new in the list and no expert on microscopy at all.
