D. Hobbs (chapter 2) and the free Technical Guide by CVI Melles Griot (chapter 10): https://www.idex-hs.com/literature-tools/literature-downloads/brochures-guides/cvi-melles-griot-technical-guide/ They might be a bit too technical for your purpose. But they will help you to understand the full spec sheet of lasers which ultimately drives every decision-making process.
