Hi Jonathan

A few years ago while trying to extend the life of our Biorad MRC1024, I got Lasersharp version 4 to run on Win7 using a Virtual PC (I used Oracle Virtual Box) installed with NT (Service Pack 4.?). After installing the required patches and files (which included the correct version of Internet Explorer) the program loaded and ran well, but I could never get it to connect to all of the hardware properly. I had issues with trying to get all of the COM ports connected as the Virtual PC version I had at the time only supported 2. I gave up in the end and our BioRad found a new home.  You may have better luck as I assume the technology for Virtual PCs has advanced since 2012. Feel free to contact me and Ill have a look to see if I still have the notes I took for the install.
