Abstracts for the conference are invited on the following topics: • Light-sheet live imaging and its application in biology • High-speed, high-resolution, low-light technology innovation • Ultramicroscopy and optical clearing • Image analysis and big data challenges in light-sheet imaging • Light-sheet engineering • Multi-user and open source solutions Abstract Deadline Date: Monday 16 May http://www.lsfm2016.org/abstract-submission/ Organised by the Royal Microscopical Society, LSFM2016 will reflect the high quality of events associated with the RMS and thanks to our six dedicated scientific organisers, the conference will present the very latest advances and developments in areas including SPIM, DSLM, OPM and ultramicroscopy. Special features that you can look forward to at LSFM2016 are, workshops which will take place immediately before the main event and the opportunity to take part in round table discussions. Workshops The workshops will take place on Wednesday 31 August and you can choose to attend two different types of workshop. Commercial workshops will provide demonstration and sample testing opportunities of commercial products. Educational workshops will focus on different aspects of light-sheet imaging, including sample preparation, image analysis and data handling, and demonstration of home-built SPIMs. Educational workshops will be demonstrated by experienced tutors. You are encouraged to bring samples and to process/render real light-sheet images. http://www.lsfm2016.org/programme/workshops- lsfm/ Round Table Discussions Allocated within the event programme are slots specifically for informal discussion on a number of key topics within the field of Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy. You can highlight your topics of interest by completing our online survey, enabling the conference to be even more relevant to your area of research. http://www.lsfm2016.org/programme/round-table-discussions/ LSFM2016 is set to be an exciting and informative event which should not be missed.
