Looking for a speaker

Hi,

I am organising a Super-Resolution Summer School and would like to have a session on sample preparation, labelling etc since it is often the most challenging aspect of SR. I am looking for a speaker for this, possibly someone with a chemistry background who has in-depth knowledge about antibody conjugation and sample preparation techniques. Any suggestions would be most appreciated,

Thanks,

Ali

Hi Allison,

You could check speaker list at http://smlms2013.smb.uni-frankfurt.de/

Abberior's FLIP 565 has been reported (by Vutara) to work in PBS with
live cells on the Vutara SR-200.
http://www.abberior.com/products/productlist/cat/palm-storm/prod/abberior-flip-565/

So, to save flying me to Scotland (and me havign to renew my
passport/visa stuff):
1. buy Abberior's FLIP 565 Goat anti-mouse (or anti-rabbit)
2. pick out a primary mouse antibody
(note: might need to titer one or both Ab's for best results ... or
image patching and capping single molecules real time)
3. add cells (in PBS) ... or add to adherent cells
4. put on a Vutara SR-200 nanoscope (buy, get training...)
5. image
6. interpret
7. publish.
8. Click (repeatedly) the "print money" and/or "direct deposit" buttons
(not in our current version - looking forward to these features).

I have gotten training on M.D. Anderson Cancer Center's Vutara (thanks
to Prof. Tomasz Zal for writing the NIH S10 proposal and NIH for funding
it), and have the FLIP 565 anti-mouse, but have been busy with other
projects - including our two day wet lab+imaging Stellaris FISH workshop
- our raw images were equivalent to the ones posted by Biosearch at
http://stellarisfish.smugmug.com -- my thanks to Sally, Sheila and Marc
of Biosearch and Kalli and Andy of Nikon, and to our co-hosting labs and
attendees. I did not have time to GPU deconvolve any of the workshop
Z-series - yet.

Sincerely,

George
