To join, leave or search the confocal microscopy listserv, go to: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=confocalmicroscopy ***** Our new Mai Tai Deep See is being installed. Are there any issues anyone has encountered that we should be aware of? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, --- Arnold D. Estrada. The laser also generates a fair bit of heat, so I hope your HVAC is up to the heat load required. Otherwise, how are you doing with respect to local safety regulations? I know we are compliant with our university laser safety standards for Class IV lasers. Those mostly pertain to prevention of accidental laser radiation exposure. Anything else we should worry about? Thanks, Arnold E. A colleague of mine had her Chameleon written off by an electrical short in the mains caused by a minor kitchen flood nearby. Apparently Coherent is starting to recommend people use line protection just in case. Talk with your vendor to find out if its a good idea, and what devices are approved for use with your laser.
