May 13-14: Advanced Models of Imaging-based Drug Screening, Houston, TX

Dear Colleagues,

 

For those microscopy list subscribers located near the Texas Medical Center
in Houston, please note the Image-based drug screening symposium described
below.  There is a terrific list of US and European imaging-oriented
scientists that will be speaking during a 1.5 day symposium held on the Rice
University campus, and sponsored by our local Screening Program. Typically,
many of these speakers meet in San Francisco each January at the annual High
Content Analysis meeting, a great meeting not easily accessible to all. For
those of you interested in automated microscopy and analysis, this is a
unique opportunityŠŠand registration is complimentary (!).

 

 

Also, since some Outreach money just became available, a few slots are
available to help students/postdocs attend the meeting (airfare/hotel/etc).
Please see the summary  and link below for further details.  Feel free to
write me off-line if you have questions.

Co-hosted by the John S. Dunn Gulf Coast Consortium for Chemical Genomics

and the Texas Screening Alliance for Cancer Therapeutics, the conference

will focus on academic and industrial screening approaches dependent upon

advanced imaging-based models, including variations on 3D and co-culture

microscopy, high-end multiplexing, deep image data mining, and technology

development.

 

Note: Limited travel awards are available for graduate students and

postdoctoral fellows to attend the conference, extended deadline 4/26.

Please pass along to those trainees that may be interested in applying and

other researchers that may be interested in attending. Application is

available on the conference website.
