Micro-Manager (
http://micro-manager.org) is open source software for microscope image acquisition. It controls a large number of microscopes, scientific grade cameras, and peripherals and lets you take snapshots, time-lapses, z-stacks, and multi-channel images. It has no Print money button, but is free to download and use.
We will present the software in booth #649 in the exhibit hall of the ASCB meeting in Denver starting this weekend. We hope to demonstrate how to acquire 5D data sets at the fastest rate allowed by the hardware using TTL-based synchronization. If you happen to be at the meeting, please do come and see us!
