Micro-Manager at the ASCB meeting

Search the CONFOCAL archive at
http://listserv.acsu.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?S1=confocal

If you are attending the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) meeting
starting this weekend in Washington DC, please come and visit us in booth
1252 in the exhibition space.  We will be showcasing the latest version of
Micro-Manager and hope to meet current and prospective users of
Micro-Manager and get their feedback.  This will also be an excellent
opportunity for a hands-on tutorial and to ask all those questions you had
about Micro-Manager in person.

Micro-Manager (http://micro-manager.org) is (free) Open Source software for
microscope image acquisition.  It controls a large number of scientific
grade cameras, microscopes and peripherals and lets you take snapshots, do
time-lapses, z-stacks, and multi-channel images.  It runs as an ImageJ
plugin and works under the Windows, Mac and Linux OSs.   Micro-Manager is
being developed at the Vale lab at UCSF supported by grants from the Sandler
Foundation.

The latest version of Micro-Manager (1.1) adds support for multi-position
acquisition, burst mode imaging and hardware and software autofocussing.

Hope to see you in DC!

Best,

Nico

HI Nico,

Well you won't see me in DC (I wish I was there!) but I
wanted to let you know that Tim asked me to help next year
and I responded in the affirmative. I hope we can make it
a great time for the last time!

I hope all is well and that you are enjoying the meeting.

Happy holidays as well,
Louie
