Micro-Manager (http://micro-manager.org) is open source software for microscope image acquisition. It controls a large number of microscopes (from ASI, Leica, Nikon, Olympus and Zeiss), scientific grade cameras, and peripherals and lets you take snapshots, time-lapses, z-stacks, and multi-channel images.

We will be presenting the software during the upcoming Biophysical Society meeting in Baltimore (March 6-9) in booth #368 in the Exhibition Hall.  We'll demonstrate the software using a very interesting microscope setup, but our main goal is to meet you, hear about your experiences with Micro-Manager, your wishes for future development and everything else you would like to tell us. We also hope to give you personal hands-on training in the use of Micro-Manager.

Hope to meet you in Baltimore!

Best regards,

Nico Stuurman and Arthur Edelstein
