Dear all
We have a job opening at UTSW for an imaging specialist who will be in charge of using our latest microscopes.
I would be grateful if you could help circulating this job add and I wish you all a happy and productive 2017!
Sincerely,
Reto

We are looking for a M.S. or Ph.D.-level scientist or engineer with an interest in scientific microscopic imaging to fulfill the role as an Applications Specialist in our joint labs in the Departments of Cell Biology and Bioinformatics.
The successful candidate will conduct imaging projects using advanced high resolution microscopes (including light-sheet, super-resolution, adaptive optics, 2-photon intravital and TIRF). The tasks will involve assay optimization using a broad range of specimens, from conventional 3D cell culture systems to zebrafish and mouse xenografts, setting up long term image acquisitions, data quality control and periodic instrument alignment / maintenance.
The candidate should ideally have a M.Sc. or PhD in cell biology, biophysics or engineering, and documented experience with 3D microscopy of live specimens. Previous experience with advanced microscopy methods and enthusiasm for biological imaging is strongly encouraged.
We offer a unique and diverse environment where biologists, physicists, engineers and computer scientists work together to establish patho-physiologically relevant cell biology, with an emphasis on cancer-related processes. More information on our research and lab teams can be found at:
