Dear colleagues,
First of all, I hope everyone is doing well, and staying safe in these very trying times.
Although Janelia has suspended all research activities more than two weeks ago, and the Advanced Imaging Center (AIC) continues to postpone visitations for the near future, we continue to plan ahead in hopes the current situation improves. While nobody can predict what the future will bring, we remain hopeful that this pandemic subsides in the coming months and life as we know it will return to some degree of normalcy. It is with this positive outlook that we open applications for a Bootcamp Course "Optical Imaging Across Biological Length Scales: From Nanometers to Millimeters", to be hosted at Janelia.
The 12-day Bootcamp Course will be held in November 2020 (
https://www.aicjanelia.org/courses)
There is no registration fee, and Janelia will cover lodging and food costs for all participants. The Bootcamp Course will focus on biological query/hypothesis-driven utilization of technologies, training participants how to formulate quantitative experiments on various instruments. It is designed to introduce the participants to advanced commercial instruments as well as pre-commercial microscopes available at the Advanced Imaging Center. It will also feature in-depth data processing and analysis instruction using commercial, open-source and Janelia-developed software.
Please feel free to contact me directly should you have any questions.
Stay safe and healthy everyone!
Regards,
Leong
