This role provides an exciting opportunity to manage, develop and shape the Microscopy Innovation Centre (MIC) at King’s. The MIC is a central science facility enabling bespoke, specialist optical microscopy instruments developed at King’s used by, and further developed for, researchers across our biological and health research communities. The successful applicant will work closely with the Director of the Centre to manage the day-to-day operation of the MIC and other team members, build and optimise developmental microscopy systems and develop data analysis software. They will work closely with researchers from our biological and health research communities to help strengthen their knowledge of state-of-the-art optical microscopy techniques, undertake training of new users and assist in development of applications for specific research areas and questions. The successful applicant will have significant experience of running and troubleshooting developmental microscope systems and image data analysis and with prior experience in microscopy development.
