First-class Microscopy Facility Senior Position The Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (LICR) is an international not-for-profit organisation dedicated to cancer research, conducting long-term basic and clinical research. With laboratory and clinical research programs in the Melbourne Branch, the LICR is located in Parkville on the Royal Melbourne Hospital campus, Melbourne, Australia. We are seeking a person with proven technical expertise and energy to manage our leading-edge Microscopy Facility. As the manager you will be responsible for delivering advanced microscopy tools to scientific staff. You will have the scope to enhance the facility’s operations. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a talented microscopist to develop their career through interactions and collaborations with the Institute’s scientific community, using world class (multi-photon, confocal and fluorescence) technology. To be successful in this position you will have a proven track record of delivering an excellent microscopy service to scientists, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain effective collaborations. Experience in the operation and management of a microscopy or similar facility would be advantageous. A post-graduate degree in a relevant area of science is essential.
