Does anyone know of any scheduling software that is suited to our microscopy facility?
Most facilities use software that enables users to book time on static instruments and perhaps be charged for it. Our situation is somewhat more complex, with support staff and equipment needing to be scheduled without conflict.
For example, we need to schedule users 1, 2, 3 and 4 during the next three months.
Users 1 and 2 have been given 2 weeks of microscope time each, users 3 and 4 have been given 3 weeks each. User 3 needs their weeks to be consecutive, user 4 needs at least 2 weeks separation.
Staff member A needs to support users 1, 3 and 4; staff member B needs to support users 1, 2 and 4; staff member C needs to support users 3 and 4.
User 1 needs equipment a, b, c, d; user 2 needs equipment a only etc.
User 1 is only available during weeks 1-7, User 2 for all dates
Staff member B will be absent during weeks 5 and 6.
