Microscopy and Cellular Imaging Technologist
The Microscopy and Cellular Imaging facility in the Institute of Medical Sciences in the University of Aberdeen requires an experienced person to help provide technical support and training to its users.
You will work with a range of light and fluorescence microscopes, confocal and live cell imaging systems along with MicroCT, laser microdissection and electron microscopes. Experience in sample preparation will be advantageous. An aptitude to work with a range
of software programmes for image capture and image analysis will be required, and further training will be provided.
Assistance with general maintenance of equipment and laboratory organisation is part of the role.
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level and have a good working knowledge of a range of microscope systems.
