In our organizations quest to provide our customers with highly evolved products and applications, a significant opportunity has become available for a Biosystems Technical Specialist to support and maintain the technical specifications, product information, applications and uses, on all Bioscience Digital Imaging, Confocal products and Advanced Imaging Software. Biosystems Technical Specialist will also provide technical product support to customers, dealers, and sales representatives with regards to Bioscience, Confocal and Digital Imaging products and system components. Assist marketing and product managers in all product related activities, such as product performance evaluations and testing, and new product development and produce detailed product specifications and product application configurations, and provide for the professional dissemination of this information while integrating and trouble shoot digital imaging instrumentation and computer systems as related to confocal and imaging product lines. Candidate must possess a Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent in Science or Engineering along with 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must be able to work independently under stress-situations (time-pressure, expectations) with demanding customers and understands the importance of customer relations. Advanced software knowledge with solid quality assurance and testing abilities along with experience with service and/or development in high-tech industry or laboratory are essential to the success of this position. Traveling 25% (overnight and possibly international) and the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours as needed are required for this role.
