We are currently looking for a *Biosystems Technical Specialist* to work in
our Melville, NY Headquarters who would troubleshoot and prioritize service
requests with regard to digital imaging instrumentation and computer
systems as related to all advanced imaging product lines and support,
develop, and maintain the technical documents, product information,
applications and uses on Bioscience Digital Imaging Systems.  Systems
include, but not limited to, A1 and C2 Confocal, N-STORM, N-SIM, and HCA
product lines.





*QUALIFICATIONS**:  *



·       Advanced knowledge of optics, lasers, and digital microscopy
techniques.  Knowledge of NIS-Elements preferred.

·       Excellent written/verbal communication skills with the ability to
convey abstract technical concepts to external customers and internal staff.

·       Experience with technical support/ development in microscopy
industry or research institutes.  Imaging core facility experience is a
plus.

·                Strong computer and analytical skills.

·                Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to
find novel solutions to problems -. .

·       Ability to work independently under challenging situations (time
constraints, customer expectations, and etc.)

·                Intermediate understanding of biological research.

·                Ability to travel 25% (overnight and possibly
international).

·                Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours
as needed.

·       Master's degree (M.S.) or equivalent in Physics, Biological
Sciences, or Electrical Engineering.

·       3 - 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
