I am trying to identify a suitable candidate for the newly created Sales
Product Specialist role with Bruker Nano Surfaces FM (Fluorescent
Microscopy). Bruker Nano Surfaces FM is a new business unit within
Bruker Corporation, a publicly traded (NASDAQ: BRKR) leading provider of
high performance scientific instruments and solutions for molecular and
materials research with $1.8 billion sales and over 6,000 employees in over
90 locations in all continents.
The sales expansion comes about as a result of Bruker’s recent acquisition
of Prairie Technologies, strengthening Bruker’s offerings in the life
sciences. Prairie Technologies pioneered the use of multiphoton
fluorescence microscopy. Its industry-leading multiphoton product
offerings have enabled researchers to make revolutionary discoveries in
neurobiology and cell biology.
Bruker is seeking to fill the Sales Product Specialist role with someone
experienced in the life sciences and fully capable of selling advanced
technology instrumentation. Ideally, s/he will have experience or
knowledge about multiphoton microscopy and fluorescent confocal
microscopy.
The position will be located in the New England area but strong candidates
may be considered along the Eastern corridor down to Philadelphia. The
likely qualifications of the successful candidate will be someone with a BSc
degree in a biological science and a minimum of five years of related sales
experience. Alternatively, s/he may hold a Master’s degree and three
years of sales experience or a PhD without sales experience but with strong
underlying selling skills attributes.
