We would like to kindly inform you, that new reversibly photoswitchable fluorescent proteins are available highly suitable for e.g. superresolution microscopy:
1. rsEGFP (nature paper reference below): very fast switching times and very high photostability enable multiple RESOLFT images 2. Dreiklang (nature biotechnology reference below): unique feature of decoupled switching from fluorescence readout enables very convincing, high contrast RESOLFT and PALM/STORM images Check our webpage for more details: www.abberior.com Thanks a lot for your attention, The Abberior team http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v478/n7368/full/nature10497.html http://www.nature.com/nbt/journal/v29/n10/full/nbt.1952.html |

Both are very good papers, though it would be beneficial to also have similar proteins in the YFP and mCherry spectra (better SNR in vivo). ...so that Coherent would make an effort to adapt their 577nm ophtalmology laser line to nanoscopy and Newport will strengthen their Excelsior 505nm diode to 50 or even 100mW.
