In our organization’s quest to provide our customers with highly evolved products and applications, a significant opportunity has become available for a Senior BioSystems Applications Manager in our North Atlantic Region.  This position would be responsible for the training of core microscopy, imaging and confocal products and applications and would be the primary source for advanced training, application support and knowledge for the sales representatives.  This position would require one keeps up to date on advances in hardware, software, applications and new technology while providing feedback to the product teams for future product development.  Applications Manager must also be able to solve customer’s application issues and provide this information back to the entire team. 

 

The ideal candidate must possess five plus years of experience working in the bio research capital equipment market place; particularly in a technical support role with experience in the microscope industry, especially in an imaging and/or confocal capacity a plus.  A BS in Biological or Scientific Field of Study or significant relevant experience is required while a MS or Ph.D. is desirable.  Candidate must have a solid understating of both computer software, hardware and networking applications as well as advanced knowledge of light microscopy and digital imaging related to advanced biological research.  Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel an PowerPoint) and have excellent presentation and communication skills.  Must understand and have experience with advanced fluorescence, laser and confocal microscope applications as well as experience in providing corporate training, technical support, and education on highly technical equipment and/or scientific applications.  Knowledge of some programming or macro languages a plus.  Candidate must also be able to travel up to 40% (including overnight travel).
