OMERO-Beta3.1

The OME Consortium (http://openmicroscopy.org) is proud to announce to release of OMERO Beta3.1.  As always, you can access OMERO software at our MilestoneDownloads page:

http://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/omero/wiki/MilestoneDownloads

OMERO Beta3.1 is a small, but important upgrade from OMERO Beta3.0.  We've been doing alot of small fixes to the OMERO clients, and added a maximum projection facility to OMERO.server that can be accessed from OMERO.insight.  This allows you to to make MIPs on the server either as a preview, or save them on the server for future use  (note that exporting MIPs to .avi and .mov  is not yet supported; We will be adding a much expanded export facility soon).  Moreover, we've made our first steps for integrating our experimental protocol editor, OMERO.editor into the full OMERO platform.  OMERO.editor files can be uploaded to an installation of OMERO.server and viewed from within OMERO.insight.  Finally, we have fixed a critical memory problem in the Measurement Tool in OMERO.insight.

The final versions are OMERO.server-Beta3.1.1 and     OMERO.clients-Beta3.1.2.

Please let us know if you have any problems or comments.  As always, using the "Send a Comment" facility logs your suggestions with OME developers, and is an important source of information for us.

We will be sending an email describing our plans for OMERO-Beta4 (http://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/omero/milestone/3.0-Beta4 and http://trac.openmicroscopy.org.uk/shoola/milestone/3.0-Beta4) in the next week.

Thanks again for your support and interest.

Cheers,

Jason
