The eighth Omaha Imaging Symposium, New Horizons in Research Imaging, will
be held Friday, April 20th, at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.  The
speakers will be:
        Laura Marcu, Ph.D., Department of Biomedical Engineering, University
of California, Davis, on fluorescence lifetime imaging in the brain,
        Julie Biteen, Ph.D., Department of Chemistry, University of
Michigan, on single molecule and superresolution imaging in bacteria,
        Alex Y. Huang, M.D., Ph.D., Departments of Pediatrics, Pathology &
Biomedical Engineering, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine,
on multi-photon microscopy in in vivo immunity and pathogenesis,
        Ania K. Majewska, Ph.D., Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy and Center
for Visual Science, University of Rochester Medical Center, on functional
imaging in the living visual cortex,
        Wallace B. Thoreson, Ph.D., Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences,
University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE, on application of quantum
dots to tracking of single molecules in the retina,  
        Heather Jensen-Smith, Ph.D., Department of Biomedical Sciences, Creighton
University School of Medicine, Omaha, NE, on metabolic imaging in the inner
ear, and
        Richard Hallworth, Ph.D.,Department of Biomedical Sciences, Creighton
University School of Medicine, Omaha, NE, on single molecule imaging of
membrane proteins.
