Here is an excellent opportunity selling to Life Science Research Institutions-
Universities, Medical Research Institutions, and Pharmaceutical Companies. Ideal Location: prefer candidate to be located in Alabama or Tennessee. · Achieve monthly, quarterly, annual and strategic product mix sales goals for the territory · Identify and develop key accounts in the territory · Install/set-up instruments in customer laboratories and train customers. · Perform demonstrations. Maintain demo equipment. · Standard administrative duties: monthly reports, manage operating expenses, all information in CRM must be kept current on a daily basis · Participate in sales meetings and national and local trade shows as authorized by manager · Conduct workshops, seminars or focus groups at local technical society meetings, as authorized by manager The ideal candidate must be one that is willing to roll-up their sleeves and manage all aspects of the sales process, including: · Each sales rep is responsible for demonstration inventory, including requesting equipment via a Central Demo Management System (DMS), set-up, conduct demonstration, tear-down/packing and arranging shipping · Each sales rep completes all instrument installations in their assigned territory (time away from selling opportunities) · Each sales rep (RMS) completes all customer instrument training in their assigned territory with the exception of those tools demonstrated by the (RAS)-LMD, SD6000, LSI, SPE, and TIRF systems. · Each sales rep needs to be able to comprehend and communicate to customers the applications aspects of our equipment. · All sales activities are entered and tracked through CRM (internally developed system, Lotus Notes based application) Sales Rep Background/Experience · Must possess a Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university · A Life Science degree is preferred · Microscopy/Imaging sales experience is highly preferred · 3-5 years successful selling experience – Capital equipment sales experience to University and Life Science Institutions preferred (capital equipment sales is quite different from medical device/consumables selling skills) · Must have good selling, negotiating, closing and account management skills · Self-motivated · Goal oriented, results driven · Excellent interpersonal skills · Ability to comprehend scientific applications/markets · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as ability to comprehend Lotus Notes applications, SAP Why Leica? · Microscopy innovation leader · Well respected company reputation with Life Science Research customers · Stable company (150+ years) · Opportunities for advancement · Strong business leader has consistently grown the business · Fun, successful team, delivers results, but has fun doing it · US Selling Unit is a consistent performer for the Leica organization · Dedicated, direct field service team to support all Leica products (factory trained engineers) Send your resume to- [hidden email] Please visit- www.leica-microsystems.com for further ocmpany information. |
