Dear colleagues,
I have two positions currently opened in our light microscopy facility CELLIM of CEITEC MU, Brno, Czech Republic.
1) Image analysis specialist, who would be responsible for developing and performing image analysis tasks for facility users.
Responsibilities:
- Developing, performing and teaching basic and advanced image analysis tasks: image segmentation, objects
detection & classification, feature extraction using variety of analytical tools, such an IMARIS, FIJI/ImageJ, Cell
Profiler, Matlab
- Writing customized tools in ImageJ/Matlab/Python
- Teaching image analysis methods on workshops and courses organized by CELLIM
- Maintaining facility computers

Responsibilities:
- Provide training and assistence to facility users with all steps of imaging experiments - experimental design,
sample preparation, selection of appropriate imaging method/instrument, and image acquisition using all facility
instruments
- Help with troubleshooting at all levels – from sample preparation to image acquisition
- Performing cleaning and maintenance of facility instruments
- Teaching microscopy methods on workshops and courses organized by CELLIM
- Participating in CELLIM daily operations
- Keeping up to date with newest microscopy developments
