The Bioaxial company, based in Paris, is developing a new microscopy module
for superresolution using the conical diffraction technology for laser
scanning localised SIM approaches.

*Offer1: R&D Engineer in Image processing*

Type: CDI starting as soon as possible
Division: Operations and Development
Reports to : CEO, Project Leader

Salary: Depending on experience

Bioaxial is a company founded in 2010, developing and commercializing
super-resolution modules for microscopes. The company offers an exceptional
workplace, in the centre of Paris, in an environment dedicated to start-up
companies. The company employs 9 people today.

*Mission *
In the context of a new product development, you are in charge, in the R&D
team of the development of new functionalities in image processing. The
main work consists in designing and developing image processing algorithms.
To assure this mission, you will: - Take the existing code in hand and
optimize it.
- Contribute with the team to define the next developments.
- Design and develop the solutions to allow 3D reconstructions
- Design and develop the solutions for object recognition
- Understand the user needs and propose adapted solutions
- Follow the common work method, following two weeks development cycles

*Skills *
You have PHD in image processing, or applied mathematics, or you have
several years of experience in a similar position.
Consequently, you have a good knowledge of methods to solve inverse
problems.
You have a good experience in C/C++, Python or Matlab and in the use of
Git.
The knowledge of CUDA is an important asset.
The knowledge of OpenCV would be an advantage.
You know how to integrate in a multi-disciplinary team, but also know how
to work independently with rigor.

*Mission*
In the context of a new product development, you will work with the R&D
team to ensure the quality of the software development. The main work
consists in assuring that the developments comply with the company quality
standards, and with the defined specifications. To assure this mission, you
will:
- Design and maintain testing plans.
- Carry out tests and write detailed test reports
- Identify regressions, classify them by severity and reproducibility, and
create usable reports to the developer team.
- Identify the tests that can be automated and implement the automation
- Contribute to the documentation work for versions and products
- Contribute with the team to define future developments
- You may also contribute to write the correction of the regressions.
- Follow the common work method, following two week development cycles

*Skills *
You have a first experience in software QA
You have solid knowledge in Python, and are familiar with the use of Git
You have bases in the XML, SQL and C++ languages
The knowledge of a bug tracking tool is an advantage (Mantis, Bugzilla,
JIRA).
The knowledge of an automatic test tool is an advantage (Jenkins, SikuliX,
Python, Autolt, TeamCity)
The knowledge of QT and Visual Studio environments is an advantage
