Dear list,
usually microscope objectives fulfil the Abbe sine condition in order
to image the the focal plane stigmatically onto a detector plane.
A second condition, which is often discussed in books is the Herschel
condition, which ensures stigmatic imaging on the optical axis. My
questions is whether, there exist lenses or objectives (to buy), which
are engineered to fulfil the Herschel instead of the Sine condition.
If so, where could I buy them?
