Hi everyone,
I have just started working in the lab that has two confocal systems. I have never done confocal imaging on my own and as a results am not familiar with the way that these systems work. In this lab one of the confocal systems needs a replacement of Dichroic Block. Unfortunately for me I have been put in charge of replacing this part. The part is already here and the full name on the box is Filter Blanc Dichroic Block for Ultraview, Part No. 51011; 488/568/647 TPC; Model CSU10B. From reading the material on internet I understood that this is dichroic beam splitter and it is located in CSU10 Yhokogawa confocal scan head. I have tried every single site to try and find how to replace this part but had no luck in this whatsoever. We do not have enough funding to invite people from company to come and change this for us and the last time that the company people came here they said that it is very easy to do and that we can do it ourselves. Unfortunately I was not here at that time and instructions recieved were by phone and then got lost. I have tried to contact PE engineer that was responsible for this replacement but am not getting any reply from him. I am desperate since i have free time now and would like to get this done before I get swamped with other work. I know that it is easy enough job to do but I also know that there are spinning disks inside that I MUST NOT scratch... The part cost us 4000 euro and so I do not want to break it. So if anyone has the instructions on how to change it or even a diagram of how CSU10 scanning head is arranged inside I would much appreciate your help!! Thank you |
