Dear Confocal Listserv,

Please send me fluorescence data of fluorophores and detectors that you
would like to see in the update of a chapter on (light) Microscopy and
Image Analysis

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18428379

http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/0471142905.hg0404s46/abstract

A coauthor posted the PDF on their ResearchGate account,

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/5425300_Current_Protocols_in_Human_Genetics

The editors have given me flexibility on what to put in -- as long as
the URLs are all updated. #1 on my list is a link to this listserv.

I would like vendors help getting detector quantum efficiency curves in
- I anticipate replacing the CCD pixels figure.

I would very much like to have the Extinction Coefficient's and Quantum
Yields - and of course excitation and emission wavelength maxima, for
all the new fluorophores, such as Brilliant Violet's, Brilliant
Ultraviolet's, Abberior, and STORM/PALM dyes. I want to keep the
table(s) simple, so the best way to send me data is by email, in a
consistent table like this (comma or tab delimited):

Protein       λex   λem         EC         QY    Reference
Azurite       383    450    26200    0.55    2
EBFP2         383    448    32000    0.56    3
mKalama1 385    456    36000    0.45    3
mTagBFP2  399    454    50600    0.64    4
TagBFP        402    457    52000    0.63    7

For fluorescent proteins, I anticipate including the best FPs from Kurt
Thorn's FP Properties blog (source of the above data)

http://nic.ucsf.edu/FPvisualization/

and of course include the web link.

I can now put micrographs into the chapter - the most obvious deficiency
from the previous version.

sincerely,

George
