https://opticalimagingcore.vai.org/>. The Optical Imaging Core (OIC) provides imaging services for Van Andel Research Institute <
https://vari.vai.org/> (VARI) and collaborating institutions. Its goal is to serve the VARI community with state-of-the-art imaging resources to address a broad variety of research questions, as well as offering the expertise to train researchers to use these resources effectively.
As an Optical Imaging Specialist on our team you will provide technical expertise and assist researchers to accomplish their goals by means of optical imaging. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing OIC users and training on a variety of light microscopes including, but not limited to, widefield, confocal, fluorescent and brightfield slide scanning, live cell imaging, superresolution, and multiphoton. You will also work hands-on in the laboratory with OIC users, and will become an expert in operation, maintenance, and use of OIC instruments.
