Salary
(Level A) $71,250 ‐ $76,209 plus up to 17% employer superannuation and
leave loading.
We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral research scientist to join the
Fluorescence Microscopy Unit within the BioMedical Imaging Facility
(BMIF) at UNSW. The successful candidate will conduct research in
fluorescence imaging applications, fluorescence microscopy development
and/or image analysis in one or more areas of the biomedical sciences.
The scientist will join a small team responsible for a range of
state‐of‐the‐art fluorescent microscopes and associated imaging
equipment and will have opportunities to collaborate with staff both
within and external to the Facility. In addition they will contribute
to training and assist microscope users with data interpretation and
image analysis on selected advanced instrumentation.
Applicants should have a PhD in Biology, Life Sciences, Biophotonics or
a related discipline, with relevant research experience in fluorescence
microscopy.

This is a 2‐year fixed‐term appointment. Assistance with relocation
expenses will be offered to inter-state or overseas candidates.
