are seeking a (M/F) logistic scientist to run and develop their confocal
multiphoton imaging Core Facility. This service centre offers high-end
imaging facilities for investigators in the various fields of research
pursued on the Faculty campus (development biology, molecular pharmacology,
neurosciences, cancer research).
The successful applicant for this position will be in charge 1) for the
training of new users on the imaging hardware, 2) to advice the design of
imaging experiments in order to optimize output and research activities, 3)
to give introductory courses on analysis software packages available for
image post-processing and 4) to provide support in developing methods
(hardware & software) required to solve specific problems that may arise in
the various research projects.
Applicants shall hold a PhD or Engineer degree and must have serious insight
in fluorescence microscopy, wide field & confocal imaging, multiphoton
imaging, FLIM and image analysis.
Good relational and managerial skills are also essential assets.
The successful candidate will receive a three year FRS-FNRS contract, with
possibility of renewal.
