Position available for director of Biomedical Image Processing Laboratory

DIRECTOR: BIOMEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING LABORATORY

The Biomedical Image Processing Laboratory at University of Minnesota (http://bipl.umn.edu ) is hiring a director who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the facility.

We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of the principles of microscopy and experience in modern forms of optical microscopy--in particular confocal microscopy, multi-photon microscopy and live-cell imaging.  The ideal candidate would have a strong background in both microscopy and biology, experience in (or aptitude for) management of a core facility, and experience obtaining outside funding.  This is a real position; our former managing director recently left after 25 productive years at the University.

Those interested should apply on-line at http://www1.umn.edu/ohr/employment .  The job requisition number is: 164139 .

The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer.

Thanks!

Martin Wessendorf
