Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research is a leading, nonprofit
research and educational institution that has defined the cutting edge of
biomedical science, creating a legacy of research excellence and academic
eminence. Founded in 1982, the Institute is world-famous for its
discoveries in genetics, genomics, stem cells, cancer and developmental
biology, and for building powerful tools used by the scientific community
worldwide. Wholly independent in its governance, finances and research
programs, Whitehead shares a teaching affiliation with Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT), offering the intellectual, collegial and
scientific benefits of a leading research university.

Whitehead brings together the most talented biologists in an intimate and
highly collaborative environment, empowering them to step out into bold new
areas of biomedical inquiry and to ask the questions that no one else is
asking. At Whitehead, curiosity is sufficient justification to pursue an
uncharted path. Staff members working in informatics, management,
administration, technical and support positions participate in this dynamic
and rewarding environment and are integral to the Institute’s mission.

We offer excellent benefits including a choice of health insurance options;
a generous retirement plan; comprehensive dental, disability and life
